This December, we would like to invite your child to take part in our "Creative Computing for Kids" pilot workshops. It is a 4 session pilot workshops designed to give children aged between 8-13 an introduction to programming, inspired by the Code.orgvideo featuring Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. We believe that this early exposure gives kids an opportunity to discover themselves, nurture their natural curiosity while instilling the basic groundwork of computational thinking.
These will be no charge for these pilot workshops in December. We appreciate any sponsorship we get and/or any feedback you may have for us regarding our endeavour. Children who are invited to undertake this pilot will have to attend 4 workshop sessions in the December weekends.
During these pilot workshops, we want to learn more about the behaviour of today’s “digital native” children and devising an effective curriculum to raise their understanding of technology. We also intent to further develop this design-based learning curiculum to promote the self-curiosity among children and cultivate an innovation culture within them.
